A People’s Vote: A BLP no-brainer?

First the new data. More the 100 Leave-supporting constituencies in Britain have now according to the poll reported here switched to Remain. Many of these were the Labour-Leave constituencies where the ‘traditional working class’ was so fetished by Lexiteer proponents. Including those of pro-Leave Labour MPs like Frank Field, Graham Stringer and Graham Hopkins.

Wales has now switched to supporting Remain, along with NI and Scotland. Brexit is even more an English/Tory/DUP phenomenon as it was in 2016.

Promoting a People’s Vote referendum still allows Leavers to vote for the version of Leave they prefer. Thus the Labour party would not be open to accusation summarily reversing the decision of the referendum of 2016.

Equally Labour members and supporters are increasingly in favour of a People’s Vote, while the Remain vote among the young now is nudging 80%. Weren’t these the people the Corbyn project was supposed to give a…
