MARCH FOR JUSTICE ( 40 YEARS ON ) ! Update – Update – Update !

After giving evidence here in Derry to-day, in support of the family of a young man murdered by the British Army during ‘Operation Motorman‘, former Mid-Derry MP & Minister for Community Relations in the ill-fated 1974 power-sharing excutive, Ivan Cooper, agreed to be share a platform @Pilot’s Row, this Friday, Dec. 9th @ 8pm with other Civil Rights veterans and relatives of some of those murdere…d by the British-Occupation Forces on Jan. 30, 1972, now known as Bloody Sunday. The eldest son of iconic Chief Steward, Vincent Coyle, also called Vincent, has been appointed to step into his late father’s shoes, to marshall ‘March for Justice’ on Sunday, Jan. 29th. That date is the 40th anniversary of NICRA‘s anti-torture & internment march, therefore the active involvement of original 1968 Civil Rights Veterans Network. All welcome – Dec. 9th & Jan. 29th. “We Shall Overcome, Some Day” !!!!!!

Radio Foyle, around 8.30 am tomorrow, (Thursday) will focus on civil rights public meeting @ Pilot’s Row @ 8pm tomorrow evening. New, specially composed CD ’40 Years’, not yet publicly launched, will be played at the start of the meeting, by kind permission of the artists involved. New Civil rights 7’x3.5′ flag, bearing original 1968 circular ‘oak leaf’ logo, is ‘camera ready’. Hope these will be ready in time for 40th anniversary of 1972 anti-torture & internment demo, on Jan. 29th 2012.

Let it be asked of those opposed to commemorating the 40th anniversary of the original 1972 NICRA demo against torture & internment without charge or trial, if they will feel offended by the 2012 civil rights’s main bannaer, carried on 30th, by the same 1968 Duke Street, standard bearers. It’s red and white, Derry GAA & Soccer colours, and reads “FOR JOBS, DECENT WAGES & FULL HUMAN RIGHTS” ????????

Art work for proposed Civil Rights’ flag, 7’x3.5′, which, hopefully, will be flown for the first time on the MARCH FOR JUSTICE in Derry on Sunday, January 29th 2012.
